Be Ready When Winter Hits

winter scene
We've grown to learn that the weather can be a bit unpredictable in our area of the country, so it is very important to have an emergency plan in place when winter weather strikes.
Some quick tips to keep you and your family prepared during winter weather are:

• Develop an emergency plan with contact information for emergency services and your propane supplier, as well as instructions for turning off utilities if needed.
• Mark your propane tank with a flag or stick in order to be able to identify its location in deep snow.
• Clear snow and ice from your appliances' intakes and vents.
• Keep a battery-powered radio nearby and smartphones fully charged in order to continue receiving alerts from local authorities.
• Never use outdoor propane equipment in enclosed areas and never used an indoor stove to heat your home.
